Memorial services for Leroy Pearson, 51, were held on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel in Torrington, Wyo., with The Reverend Mary Jellison officiating. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery. Leroy died Monday, April 21, 2008. Memorials can be made to the Waggin’ Tails Animal Shelter in Torrington, Wyo. Arrangements were under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home.

Leroy was born Ervin Leroy Pearson to Gervin and Della May (Dickson) Pearson in Sidney, Neb. in 1957. The family moved to Fowler, Colo. in 1965 where he graduated from high school in 1975. In June of 1993 he married Charlotte Christian. The couple later divorced. He moved to Torrington in 2000 where has resided since. Leroy was a jack-of-all-trades and loved to help others when he could. He loved the outdoors and cherished time with his nieces and nephews. He also was very social with the Torrington community.

Leroy is survived by his mother Della (Don) Kreiger of Sidney, Neb., sisters Connie (Jesse) Hernandez of Torrington, Wyo., and Louise (Frank) Lopez of Crook, Colo. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
