Virgie Marie Clark

Virgie Marie Clark, 81, longtime resident of Olney Springs, died at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center late Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1928 in Toronto, Kans., the daughter of the late Columbus and Almeda Robinson Damron. She was married to Delbert Alexander Clark in Raton, N.M. She worked in her uncle’s cafe in Fowler as a young girl and also at Diven Canning plant. Delbert preceded her in death in July of 1991.
She is survived by one son, Darrell (Debbie) McDonald of Olney Springs and three daughters, Sandy (John) Kirk of Swink; Connie (Andy) Wilson of Leoti, Kans. and Berta Wilson of Ecore, Mich. There are 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Sherman Damron of Leoti, Kans. and a sister, Lela Seitz of Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at Griffy Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fowler on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ramon Pacheco of Rocky Ford will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Olney Springs Cemetery beside her husband.
Serving as casket bearers will be grandsons, David Kirk, Tim Wilson, Darrell McDonald Jr., Mike Wilson, Rodney Wilson and Caleb Wilson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Griffy Family Funeral Home in Fowler.
