Margaret Iola Shelhamer, 88, of Ordway died Feb. 13, 2010 at Crowley County Nursing Center were she had been a resident for the past 12 years. no local services are planned; interment will be at Rose Hill Park in Whittier, Calif.
She was born Jan. 14, 1922 in Stockport, Iowa to Marion and Myrtle Davis. She married Howard Shelhamer in Farmington, N.M. on March 17, 1942.
She is survived by sisters Elizabeth Ellis of Rocky Ford and Lorene Reutson of Denver; a brother Marion Davis, Jr. of Littleton; grand-daughters Debra Baughman of Rochester, N.H. and Michele Worth of Saco, Maine; niece Jeannette (Lee) Bishop of Burns, Wyo.; nephew Michael (Phyllis) Ellis of Edgewater, N.M.; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1988 and daughter and son-in-law Margaret Ann and Robert Worth.
