Funeral services for Rolan D. Craig, 109, Manzanola, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Manzanola United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeanne Redshaw officiating. She died peacefully at her home in Manzanola on June 17, 2008.
Mrs. Craig was born July 1, 1898, in Ardmore, Okla., to Henry and Flora Berkley Dixon.
Her family came to Colorado and homesteaded south of Manzanola in 1916. She graduated from Manzanola High School in 1923.
She and Harvey Craig, Sr. were married and he preceded her in death in November 1971.
For over 38 years, she was a member of the Manzanola United Methodist Church. She was active in many clubs and organizations during her life: Western Neighbors, quilting, knitting and crocheting were her hobbies.
She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She read newspapers every day and worked the crossword puzzles daily.
Mrs. Craig is survived by two daughters, Alice (Owen) McDonald of Manzanola with whom she had made her home for the past several years and Flora Wilson of Corona, Calif.
In addition, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harvey Craig Jr. in 1996.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Griffy Family Funeral Chapel in Fowler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ark Valley Hospice, the Methodist Church or the Manzanola EMT, in care of the funeral home.
Following the service, burial will be held in Mountainview Cemetery in Manzanola.
