Faith Matters
by Darryl Johnson, West Assembly of God
The Fowler Ministerial Alliance sincerely appreciates the opportunity to share in the Faith Matters column. Hopefully you have benefited from the thoughts and encouragements we’ve shared. We earnestly believe God is truth and is our hope.
We invite you to City Park this evening at 6:30 p.m. to join with us in prayer for our nation, community and families.
For this week's column I’d simply like to share about the ministerial alliance. The churches of this community are vital to our stability and future. The following is our statement of purpose and belief.
Fowler Ministerial Alliance Statement of Purpose and Belief
The Fowler Ministerial Alliance is a group of local churches working together to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ, foster Christian fellowship and to provide merciful assistance to local citizens and strangers.
Fowler Ministerial Alliance seeks to promote the Christian faith through events such as the Community Good Friday Service, National Day of Prayer, High School Baccalaureate, Missouri Day Service, Community Vacation Bible School, Community Thanksgiving Service and the Community Christmas Service. Individual benevolent assistance is offered throughout the year to those in need, through the Christmas food distribution and by maintaining the local food bank.
Being a Christian endeavor, the Fowler Ministerial Alliance subscribes to the following beliefs:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
We believe in God the Creator of the universe, who has revealed Himself in three distinct persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death and bodily resurrection.
We believe man has sinned and needs salvation through Jesus Christ. This salvation comes through faith in Him.
We believe in the church, the body of Christ, which is made up of believers in Jesus.
We believe in the Holy Spirit’s work in the world today.
We believe Jesus Christ is coming back to earth again.
