On Friday, Jan. 20, the Fowler Grizzlies got back on the winning track beating the Crowley County Chargers for the second straight time 45-44. The Grizzlies, who at one point were down by double-digits in the second half, recaptured the lead for good late in the fourth quarter. Fowler focused their defense on Crowley sophomore standout Nathan Baylor by using a box-and-one defensive approach.
The Fowler Grizzly Wrestlers hosted Baca County Wolverines on Thursday, Jan. 26, which was also Parents' Night.
It's been a tough year for Coach Becky Hershey and her team. On Friday, Jan. 27 they traveled to Las Animas to compete against the Trojans, who hold a record of 11-1.
Fowler hosted the Santa Fe League Wrestling Dual on Thursday, Jan. 12, with 8 teams participating. Among those were: Swink, Crowley County, John Mall, Rocky Ford, Las Animas, Rye and Manzanola.

The Colorado High School Activities Association and Fowler High School has named eleven participants to fall activities season Academic All-State teams.

Following a successful Regional cross country meet in Fountain last Friday, Oct. 21, both the boys and girls’ Rocky Ford Meloneer teams advance to State competition.
In 2003, the late Dr. Larry Vibber saw the potential of having a high school golf team. Vibber coached the team until 2005, when he turned it over to Mark Sharp.
Sharp, along with his assistant coach Kevin Hagerman, have made great strides with the golf program at Fowler High School.
