A mandatory parent meeting for all Fowler High School and Junior High athletes and parents will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fowler High School gym.

Anyone participating in any high school or junior high sport that includes golf, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track and/or baseball must attend this meeting along with their parents.

The meeting will cover general participation rules, attendance, training rules and eligibility. Following the general meeting, breakout sessions will be conducted by the high school and junior high fall coaches. Parents who do not attend this meeting must set up a conference with Lewis Flores or Russell Bates and the head coach of your student's sport before he or she may compete in interscholastic contests.

Bates and Flores will be available, beginning at 5:00 p.m. to accept completed paperwork from all athletes in high school and junior high. Blank forms will be available at the meeting or the high school office. Completed forms may be submitted at the meeting or at the high school office to Bates or Flores through 12:00 noon on Friday, Aug. 8. Items will not be accepted again until 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11. High school athletes may not practice until all completed paperwork has been submitted to Bates or Flores. Any high school boys planning to participate in golf must have all paperwork submitted to Bates or Flores prior to Aug. 4, 2008. All paperwork may be submitted to Bates or Flores only. Coaches will not accept any paperwork.

High school athletes are required to submit the following forms before practicing: a current physical, insurance information, parent permission form, Fowler High School athletic policy, CHSAA competitor's brochure and Fowler High School issued athletic lock or $5 deposit.

Junior high athletes are required to submit the following prior to competing: current physical, insurance information, parent permission form, Fowler Junior High athletic policy and Fowler High School athletic lock or $5 deposit.
