In the hierarchy of domestic red carpet importance, the Golden Globes is beneath only the Oscars. And while the ceremony itself is less serious than the Academy Awards, the need to floss hard with glamor, aspirational looks and big baller jewels is not a game at all. The Golden Globes gives talent a little more license to be creative and take risks, and the celebs at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards did not disappoint.
One year after a wave of revelations about sexual assault and institutionalized sexism had A-listers donning black to the ceremony as a means of showing solidarity with the #MeToo movement and the Time's Up initiative, the Golden Globes carpet saw a return to color and even playfulness.

Hollywood super couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski won overall with their flawless looks, knocking it out of the park with stunning ensembles that place them firmly in the Best of All Time conversation. Janelle Monae showed how to do avant garde effectively and Golden Globes host Sandra Oh looked stunning in her all-white ensemble.
Stars also used the night to continue making activist statements, donning Time's Up bracelets and ribbons to show their support of the movement.
