The news that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would return on Disney+, Disney's new streaming service launching in November, was met with great enthusiasm when it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year. And now, we have even more great news: a premiere date!

LucasFilm's Kathleen Kennedy announced Friday at the D23 Expo 2019 that the new season would debut on Disney+ in February 2020. We're still waiting on an exact date, but February is better than nothing! And we now know the animated series will be returning with 12 all-new episodes that will mark the return of classic characters Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor), as well as fan-favorites Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) and Captain Rex (Dee Bradley Baker).

Everything We Know So Far About Disney+, Disney's Streaming Service

These will be the first new episodes since 2014. After the show's fifth season concluded its run on the Cartoon Network, the series enjoyed a sixth season on Netflix, which ended on a major cliffhanger as Ahsoka left the Jedi Order for the unknown. She then popped up as a much more mature leader in Star Wars: Rebels. Hopefully these new episodes will reveal some answers as to where she was and what happened to her.

Disney+ launches on Nov. 12. Find out what else is coming to the new streaming service.
