This week's Season 6 premiere of The Flash was emotional for a lot of reasons. First and foremost, we're all still missing the adorable speedster known as Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), who disappeared in the Season 5 finale after the timeline was rewritten. On top of that though, the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) delivered the devastating news that Barry (Grant Gustin) will die in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

There's no doubt that the news of his impending demise will force Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) to ask some very important questions about their relationship. How could it not, when you know you've only got a few months left with the one you love? The question we're asking ourselves though, is whether they'll take the leap and start getting busy with the baby-making this season.

While grieving for the future version of their daughter, Barry and Iris mention multiple times that they'll see her again someday when they decide to have kids -- ipso facto, if Barry is dying this December, they've only got a few months to get a bun in the oven before the possibility of a new Nora flies out the window. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you feel about kids), The Flash's showrunner, Eric Wallace, says a pregnancy storyline isn't happening in Season 6.

The Flash Season 6 Premiere Drops Devastating News on Barry and Iris

"Not this season," Wallace said when asked about the possibility following a recent press screening of the Season 6 premiere. "But that doesn't mean a huge hint to Nora isn't coming this season."

In fact, there are two hints, though Wallace said one will probably "be interpreted the wrong way because it's kind of a deliberate misdirect." However, he assured us it's real. "It's real, look for that. Comic book fans will be watching Episode 2, and they'll see a particular thing, and they'll go, 'Oh my god, I know what that means!'"

We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for those clues, but in the meantime, fans shouldn't be on the lookout for a baby bump. Hope springs eternal for next season!

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
