On Nov. 11 at about 4:30 p.m., Troy Lujan of Fowler reported to the Otero County Sheriff’s Office that several items had been stolen from an address.


On Nov. 11 at about 4:30 p.m., Troy Lujan of Fowler reported to the Otero County Sheriff’s Office that several items had been stolen from an address in the 32000 block of County Road 10 sometime between Nov. 7 and 11. Taken from his property were a a radiator, some metal stakes, two hydrants, some copper wire, a receiver hitch, and some angle iron. Deputy Mike Martin is investigating.
James Rodriquez of Rocky Ford called the Sheriff’s Office from Swink on Nov. 12 and reported that he had been bitten by a pit bull on the middle finger while at Holbrook Lake. Mr. Rodriquez stated that he had shot the dog in self-defense and the dog took off. Deputy Mike Martin made an extensive search of the lake area and did not locate the dog. The case is still under investigation.
