In 2008, the congregation of the First Baptist Church welcomed their new Pastor, Clint Walker.
Since that time, they have grown and bonded as a congregation.
“I came to Fowler because I had a sense in my heart that it is where God was leading me, First Baptist Church is my first church and I have enjoyed getting to know my congregation and being part of this community,” said Pastor Walker.
One of his missions? To help the church become more active and visible in the community, as well as share the love of Christ. “I knew we had a really good church and I think more people know that now,” said Pastor Walker.
During his time in Fowler, Walker served on the Ministerial Alliance Board as treasurer and president and was highly responsible for the Backyard Mission Project. “It is my hope that this project will continue,” said Pastor Walker.
On Sunday, Jan. 15, Walker will give his final sermon to his Fowler congregation.
Walker, his wife, Jennifer, and daughter Karis will then leave to Hot Springs, South Dakota where he will be the Pastor of a Federated Church at the United Churches of Hot Springs.
United Churches of Hot Springs is a multidenominational church, Presbyterian, Methodist and Baptist.
“This will be an exciting but challenging opportunity for me,” said Pastor Walker.
