Wal-Mart spokesperson discusses recent employee terminations

A spokeswoman for Wal-Mart confirmed Friday that a "small" number of employees were terminated at the La Junta location this week.
The specific number was not confirmed or released by the company.
Ashley Hardie, corporate spokeswoman, said Wal-Mart has high standards and high expectations for their employees and a "small number failed to meet those high expectations."
Following an investigation, the terminations occurred. Hardie said Wal-Mart has a strict policy against the taking of merchandise from the store that is not paid for, but did not provide specific details.
Hardie also said that there are more than 200 associates at the La Junta location who "do the right thing every day."
