There will be lots of food, fun and family entertainment.
Plans are being made for a Fowler Fall Festival! The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing into the evening when there will be a street dance. The street dance will be held at the parking lot of Scratch's Pub. The band KRUSH will be performing live beginning at 8 p.m. until midnight. The charge for the street dance is $5 per person with all proceeds going to the Missouri Day Association. There will be food and craft vendors, Cow Chip Bingo will be sponsored by Apishapa Ranch, The Bunkhouse will sponsor a ring toss for the kids. We will have chile roasting on site. The event is being planned by Felix and Doreen Gonzales, Andrea Flores and Mechelle Trujillo. This is the brainstorm of Felix and Doreen Gonzales, who thought this would be a good way of raising money for the Missouri Day Association. Felix and Doreen are paying for the band KRUSH as their donation to the association. All proceeds from the dance will be deposited into the Missouri Day Association account at Fowler State Bank. Anyone interested in helping or any vendor interested in participating is asked to contact Andrea Flores at 252-3570. There is a minimal vendor fee of $25, which will also benefit the Missouri Day Association. This is the first year we are planning this and everyone is hopeful for a great turnout and making this an annual event.
