The town of Fowler's municipal election will be held April 1.
The town of Fowler's municipal election will be held April 1. There are currently five trustee positions up for reelection, as well as the mayoral seat. The town of Fowler does not have term limits so all current trustees — Jason Hagerman, Chuck Hitchcock, Travis True, Keith Lance and Emil Rogge — and Mayor Pat Christensen are eligible to seek reelection. Two trustee positions serve two-year terms and three serve four-year terms. The mayor serves for two years. Anyone interested in running for office can pick up a packet starting Monday, Feb. 10, at Town Hall. To be eligible, people must be registered electors, have resided within the limits of the town of Fowler for at least 12 consecutive months preceding the date of election and they must obtain at least 10 signatures. Packets must be returned to Town Hall no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 3. This year's election will be an all-mail ballot election. For more information, contact Town Hall at 263-4461
