At the regularly scheduled meeting, the town of Fowler Board of Trustees talked in detail about a newly proposed town ordinance that would allow chickens and rabbits within the town limits of Fowler. Several community members were at the council meeting talking in favor of urban chickens. After long discussion the previously proposed ordinance allowed urban chickens only for 4-H and FFA, however, after listening to public comment the board of trustees agreed to revise the ordinance to include all citizens instead. There will be a public hearing on Feb. 23 at 5:30 p.m. before the regularly scheduled Town Council meeting for anyone who would like to speak either for against the proposed ordinance. All are invited to attend.
