Already weighed down by budget cuts, and looking at future funding, Fowler School District is working on ways to make ends meet. As the budget was reviewed it still shows several thousand dollars owed to the district in unpaid lunch bills. At the end of March 2015 the exact amount due to the food services fund was $13,536.64.

The school board is currently looking at ways to collect on unpaid balances as well as maybe change the current policy. The district is asking for those with unpaid bills to get current as soon as possible. Mike Thomas, district secretary-treasurer, is willing to work with any of those who need to set up payment plans in order to get current by the 2015-2016 school year; you can contact him during school hours at (719) 263-4224 or via email at mike.thomas@fowler.k12.co.us.
