If there's one adjective that describes Mike Ehrmantrout (Jonathan Banks), it's "collected." On Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Mike stays calm even when everything is falling apart. So the rare moments when Mike gets rattled are always very troubling. This exclusive sneak peek of Better Call Saul's Season 4 finale is one of those moments.
In this clip from Monday's "Winner," Mike returns to Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) with the note superlab engineer Werner (Rainer Bock) left before he flew the coop back to Germany. The guy missed his wife, and Mike wouldn't let him visit her. So now Mike has to explain what happened to Gus Fring. And you don't want to tell Gus Fring you messed up. Mike won't even look directly him as he tells him he believes that Werner will come back after a long weekend. That's Mike's tell. When he can't make eye contact, you know he's scared.
Killing Kim Would Be the Biggest Mistake Better Call Saul Could Ever Make
Of course, we know Mike's going to get out of this somehow. But Werner? Not so much. He never showed up in Breaking Bad, you know?
Better Call Saul's Season 4 finale airs Monday, Oct. 8 at 9/8c on AMC.
