The Fowler Police Department welcomed new officer Kevin Douglas. Douglas is originally from Lakewood, Colorado. After high school he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, which helped him develop invaluable skills. Upon returning from the Coast Guard Douglass enrolled at Red Rocks Community College to study psychology. After graduating with his Associate of Arts degree he transferred to Metropolitan State University of Denver where he obtained his Bachelor of Social Work degree. He then attended the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver where he received his master's degree in social work with an emphasis in mental health in June of 2015. Following graduation, Douglas moved to Pueblo to attend the Pueblo Police Academy at Pueblo Community College. He graduated from the academy and obtained his POST certification in December of 2015. "In mid January, I was offered an opportunity to work for the Fowler Police Department, which I honorably accepted," stated Douglas. "I believe I am a great addition to the team and look forward to working with the community members of Fowler. When you see me around please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself," added Douglas.
"In my spare time, I can be found enjoying the outdoors or spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy playing sports, hiking, working out, off-roading, fishing, camping, traveling and any other adventures I can find. I also enjoy getting involved and making a difference in the community.
