Jacobi Larson of Fowler finished her competition at the National Junior High School Finals Rodeo, which wrapped up on Saturday.

Larson had better success in her final attempts than in her first. On Thursday, she had a time of 25.575 seconds in pole bending, which was the 17th best time in the Thursday evening performance.

On Friday, her time of 16.962 in barrel racing was the 11th best in the Friday evening performance.

Her barrel racing time was tied for 63rd in the second go and her pole bending time was 88th.

In the first go, Larson had a time of 17.150 seconds in barrel racing. She had a combined time of 34.112 which was 58th in the overall standings.

She recorded a no time in her first go in pole bending. She finished 155th overall.

The next national competition is the National High School Finals Rodeo, which will take place July 17-23 in Gillette, Wyoming. Three local competitors will be at the NHSFR, including Kelly Valdez of La Junta, Kodey Hoss of La Junta and Yancie McCuistion of Olney Springs.
