The Southeast Colorado Antique Vehicle Club will hold their annual show at La Junta City Park Saturday, Sept. 17.

The best laid plans sometimes "gang agley" says poet Robert Burns, and that certainly happened with the Southeast Colorado Antique Vehicle Club Show. They decided to go with the week after Early Settlers Day in order to have a monopoly of the La Junta City Park. However, what happened but "Pedal The Plains" came along on the very same day, Saturday, Sept. 17.

They were able to get the northeast part of the park, however, and representative Vice President Leonard Walgren says there are a lot of parking places there. The bollards which prevent through traffic at the corner of 10th and Colorado can be removed.

One thing for sure, they will have a big audience with all those Pedal The Plains people from northern Colorado as well as their southeast Colorado followers.
