BROOMFIELD — The Swink High School girls' golf team is in 10th place after the first day of the first-ever Class 3A State Tournament, which began Monday at Broadlands Golf Course.

The Lady Lions have a team score of 330 and they are led by Jolene Carrica, who is 14th with an 86. Kylie Krueger is tied for 63rd with a 114 and Jadyn Bevington is 82nd with a 130.

Fowler has only one representative at state in Gabri Leone, who is 57th with a 111.

Colorado Academy is in first place among teams with a two-over-par 215. Holy Family is second with 238, followed by Kent Denver with 240, Rifle with 248 and Pueblo County with 279.

Holy Family's Hailey Schalk is the individual leader with a six-under-par 65.

The tournament concludes today.
