SALIDA — The Rocky Ford High School cross country teams finished in 10th place in both the Salida Invitational boys' and girls' races on Saturday.

Leading the Meloneers' boys' team was Cody Danley, who finished eighth overall in 18:18.68. Noel Lopez was 48th in 19:51.01, Nick Barela was 91st in 21:40.37, Jayden DeLeon was 104th in 22:09.95, Noel Rocha was 107th in 22:19.76, Fredrick Rikhof was 118th in 23:16.02, Demetrius Tenorio was 132nd in 25:08.84, Austin Garcia was 135th in 25:11.62 and Adam Cruz was 145th in 27:21.90.

Arapahoe and Regis Jesuit tied for first place with 57 points apiece. Arapahoe's Stephen Haysley was the individual medalist in 17:43.38.

For the Lady Meloneers, Jacklynn Snyder was 52nd in 24:40.50, Ashlyn Alvey was 63rd in 24:58.10, Abigail Snyder was 76th in 25:36.81, Katie Preciado was 79th in 25:45.20, Emily Gauna was 88th in 26:17.87, Martha Castaneda was 89th in 26:21.21, Kaysa Kurtz was 97th in 26:52.05 and Kailene Black was 101st in 27:16.37.

Coronado was the girls' team champion with 57 points and Arapahoe was second with 82. Regis Jesuit's Isalina Colsman was the individual champion in 19:57.47.

Rocky Ford will run at the Doherty Spartan Invitational Thursday in Colorado Springs.
