The high school girls' golf teams from Otero County were all in regional tournament action earlier this week.
Class 3A Region 3
LOVELAND — Swink High School was at the Class 3A Region 3 Tournament, which took place Monday at the Olde Course.
The Lady Lions finished in fifth place with a score of 300.
Jolene Carrica led Swink as she finished fifth overall with a eight-over-par 80. She was the only Lady Lion to qualify for the Class 3A State Tournament.
Other Swink scores included Baylie Kreuger and Lexie Summers, who both tied for 35th place with a 110. Bethany Horiuchi tied for 45th with a 120.
Kent Denver's Charlotte Hillary was the medalist as she shot a 70, which was two-under-par.
Jefferson Academy was the team champion with 240 and Kent Denver was second with 246. Both qualified their entire teams to state.
Yuma was third with 294 and Strasburg was fourth with 295.

Class 3A Region 1
COLORADO CITY — La Junta and Fowler high school both competed at the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament, which occurred Tuesday at Hollydot Golf Course.
The Lady Grizzlies finished ninth with 353 and the Lady Tigers were 10th with 359.
Neveah Fisher led La Junta as she tied for 16th place with a 106. That score qualified her for the state tournament.
Other Lady Tiger scores saw Cassidy Jones tie for 32nd with a 121 and Addison Aragon placed 45th with a 137.
For Fowler, Kaley Pieper tied for 27th with a 114, Shayna Ede was 30th with a 117, Zoey Unrein was 34th with a 122, and Laiken Griffy tied for 38th with a 128.
Holy Family's Hailey Schalk was the medalist with a one-under-par 70.
The Classical Academy won the team championship with 271 and Alamosa was second with 274. Both qualified their entire teams to state.
