PUEBLO — All three Otero County high school boys' golf teams competed at the Pueblo Centennial Invitational, which took place Wednesday at Walking Stick Golf Course.
La Junta High School placed the highest as the Tigers finished in third place with 246. LJ finished behind Cheyenne Mountain with 227 and Lamar with 244.
Cody Schrock was La Junta's top golfer as he was fourth with a 75. Jay Paolucci was 10th with an 82, Chance Oquist tied for 20th with an 89 and Nate Paolucci tied for 36th with a 101.
Fowler was 12th in the team standings with 307. Leading the Grizzlies was Andrew Egan, who was ninth with an 81. Christian Marsh tied for 36th with an 89, Aaron Hildreth tied for 62nd with a 125 and Steven Hildreth was 66th with a 131.
Rocky Ford placed 15th with 334. Levi Collins led the Meloneers as he was 31st with a 94. Josh Johnson tied for 48th with a 107 and Demetrius Tenorio was 67th with a 133.
Cheyenne Mountain's Keaton Hulen was the medalist with a one-under-par 71.
La Junta will next head to Colorado City on Monday for the second of three Tri-Peaks League meets. Fowler and Rocky Ford will be at the Santa fe League meet at Hollydot today. Fowler will be at the Pueblo County Invitational on Aug. 31, and all three teams will compete in the Lamar Invitational on Sept. 4.
