BOULDER — The La Junta High School boys' golf team finished in 11th place at the Class 3A State Tournament, which took place at the Boulder Country Club.
The Tigers had a score of 265 on Tuesday and finished with a two-day total of 513.
Leading the Tigers was Jay Paolucci. He shot an 88 on Tuesday and he finished with a score of 164, which tied him for 33rd place. Cody Schrock shot an 85 on Tuesday for a final score of 168, which tied him for 43rd. Chance Oquist shot a 92 in the second round and had a two-day score of 181, which tied him for 69th. Nate Paolucci had a 99 on Tuesday and had a total score of 207, which was 84th.
Fowler's Andrew Egan shot an 87 on Tuesday and finished with a total of 171, which was tied for 55th.
Aspen won the team title as it shot a 220 on Tuesday for a final of 434. Kent Denver was second with 443 and Holy Family was third with 457.
Kent Denver's Jackson Klutznick was the individual medalist with a one-under-par 139.
