The Colorado High School Activities Association released its All-State softball teams on Tuesday. The teams are posted on the website.

Three local softball players were placed on the Class 3A All-State team as honorable mention selections. The list includes La Junta's Neveah Fisher and Rocky Ford's Baylie Kruger and Chantae Rodriguez.

Fisher, a senior, was the Lady Tigers' center fielder this season. She batted .361 with 26 hits on 72 at-bats. She also hit five doubles, drove in 20 runs, scored 17 runs and stole six bases.

La Junta won 10 games and lost 16, and it placed third in the Tri-Peaks League with a 5-2 record. The Lady Tigers advanced to the first round of the state tournament.

Kruger is a sophomore and she played third base. She batted .407 with 29 hits on 72 at-bats. She collected seven doubles and three home runs as well as 22 RBIs. She also stole five bases and scored 29 runs.

Rodriguez is a senior and she started at shortstop for the Lady Meloneers. She batted .260 with 20 hits on 77 at-bats. She had two doubles and one triple. She drove home 15 runs, scored 24 runs and stole five bases.

Rocky Ford had an overall record of 18 wins and eight losses and it won the Tri-Peaks League with a 6-1 record. The Lady Meloneers played in the state tournament and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Only one player from a Tri-Peaks League was a first team selection in senior McKenzie Pepper of St. Mary's who played shortstop.

Two Tri-Peaks players were on the second team in Lamar senior pitcher/outfielder Laci Coen and St' Mary's senior pitcher/outfielder Peyton Richter.

Also named honorable mention are Lamar senior infielder Sheridan Choat, Alamosa junior pitcher Emily Crowder, James Irwin freshman pitcher Sierra Finn, Florence senior infielder Shelby Hoxie and St. Mary's junior catcher Morgan Trechter.
