The fourth-ranked Fowler High School boys' basketball team concluded the regular season on Feb. 12 as it soundly defeated Swallows Charter Academy 49-29 in Pueblo.

The Grizzlies took a 15-4 lead after the first quarter, they extended the lead to 32-11 at halftime.

The Spartans closed to within 39-22 after the third quarter, but Fowler outscored Swallows 10-7 in the fourth.

Johnathan Mobbley led the Grizzlies in scoring with 12 points and Val Leone was right behind with 11.

Luke Morales led Swallows with nine points.

Leone was Fowler's top rebounder with 11, which completed a double-double. Zane Denton led in assists with four.

Fowler (16-3, 12-1 Santa Fe League) began its playoff run on Tuesday when it hosted Rye. That game, along with the remaining playoff games will be published in next week's Fowler Tribune.
