The fourth game of the young baseball season for the Grizzlies was decided quickly on March 18, when Ellicott came to town.

Fowler got into the non-league game in a big way early by jumping to a 4-run first inning lead.

The onslaught continued in the second inning with 6 more runs added to the first-inning total. With the 10-run rule in play and Fowler's confidence building, the last two innings were more of the same. The final score after the shortened mercy-ruled game was a satisfying one at 15-0.

Sophomore Jackson Bates led the Fowler 16-hit attack with four hits on the day.

Johnathan Mobbley, a junior, doubled and produced 3 RBIs toward the win.

Gabriel Proctor and Quinton Flanscha contributed three hits each; and Drew Egan and Zane Denton also got into the mix with two hits apiece.

Mobbley was the winning pitcher for the Grizzlies, allowing one hit and striking out six in their first win of the season.

Fowler was scheduled to face the 3-0 Peyton Panthers at home Tuesday, another non-league game. The results were not available at press time.
