After a slow start on the Opening Day doubleheader, the Grizzlies are finding their collective stride and have had two wins in the last three games.

Fowler played the second-ranked, undefeated Peyton nine at home on March 26 and were still in the game going into the fifth inning, behind 3-0.

The visiting Panthers found their good bats, however, and exploded for 10 runs to put the shortened game rule into effect.

A strong pitching performance by Peyton continued in the bottom of the inning and the contest was over with the final 13-0 Panthers. Fowler had three hits for the game.

The Grizzlies were the host once again on Saturday, this time to the County Line combined team (Wiley/McClave) for a doubleheader.

The 10 a.m. game was a close affair, with a 1-1 tie going into the sixth. The County Line bunch were shut down in the top half but could not contain the Grizzlies, as the host team scored twice.

Fowler shut out County Line in the seventh to earn the win at 3-1. The Grizzlies had six hits in the game.

Game two was no contest. Fowler scored in each of the first four innings, getting 13 runs on 11 hits in the effort to take another rule-shortened game.
