The Fowler school board held a brief meeting on Monday to discuss the school budget, along with a variety of other school business.
The board is still reviewing several options for the facilities master plan. They are expecting an executive summary within the week.
“I was thinking that it would be nice to have the executive report in front of us before we did this, but we do need to start rolling," said Board President Eric Larson.
Board member Justin Osborne said, “I think we should make a yea or nay decision in the next meeting.”
George K. Baum & Company, a firm that provides investment banking services to schools as well as guidance through bond issue campaigns, has submitted a service agreement to the district regarding the school’s public policy.

The board said there should be some progress on the athletic annex this week, weather permitting.
Fowler High School has one Daniels Fund Scholar - Dominic Becerra.
Emily Bell has been selected as a National Honor Society Scholarship recipient. She was chosen from more than 11,000 applicants, and will receive a $3,200 scholarship toward higher education.
Fowler elementary, middle and high school Destination Imagination teams will be heading to the state tournament in Denver this weekend.
CMAS testing starts Monday.
PSAT/SAT testing will be administered Tuesday.
The CHSSA Large Group band festival is scheduled for April 17 in Lamar.
The FFA Banquet is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. April 18.
The State FBLA competition will be held April 22-24 in Denver.
The board went into executive session at the end of the meeting regarding a personnel matter, as well as a student matter. No action was taken.
The next meeting of the Fowler School Board is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 15 at the elementary school. Meetings are open to the public.
