Liona (Scherrer) Dillon passed May 4, 2019 at the age of 84. She was born 1935, raised in Fowler, Colo., by parents Murrell and Vestal (Browning) Scherrer. She married James H. Dillon in October of 1954. She attended in Fowler High School, graduating in 1953.
Liona first worked for Mountain Bell Phone Company in Pueblo, Colo.
Liona lived in Fowler and Nepesta. She lovingly raised four children. Her 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren loved her and are going to miss her dearly.
Liona played piano in a dance band when her children were small. She worked for Fowler School District RJ-49, driving buses for many years. She also was the mother advisor for Rainbow For Girls and active in Eastern Star.
Liona team drove semi-truck with her husband for about 8 years. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Dillon and her daughter Sherrie Dillon.
Surviving are her children, Vicki (Dillon) Sigler, (Tim Sigler) of Fowler, Colo., Jamie Dillon of Colorado Springs, Colo., Chris (Dillon) Beauchamp (Jim Beauchamp) of Pueblo West, Colo.
A memorial service will be held at the Methodist Church in Fowler, 10 a.m. May 30, 2019.
