The Koshare Indian Dancers, Alumni and Friends will host its sixth annual fundraising golf tournament on Saturday at the La Junta Municipal Golf Tournament.

Registration is from 7-7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. It is a four-person scramble and Mulligans are available.

Lunch and the awards ceremony is at 1 p.m. Prizes are for first, second and third place, the longest drive, the closest to the pin holes, and the longest putt.

The cost is $100 per person, and $400 for a foursome.

Sponsorships are $500 for the sponsorship of a foursome. There is also a $125 hole sponsorship.

Payments are either by check or PayPal. Checks are to be payable to the Koshare Indian Museum.

All proceeds benefit the Koshare Dancers and Museum.

The tournament is in conjunction with the Koshare Indian Museum's 70th anniversary and alumni weekend.

Softball tournament canceled

There was also a Koshare softball tournament scheduled to be played this weekend. However, it has been canceled because of a lack of teams.
