Seventeen members of the Fowler High School Class of 1964 celebrated their 55th class reunion at Phat Willy's Diner in Fowler on Friday, July 19. Joining the class was a total of 10 spouses and family members.

The group enjoyed a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings,  prepared by the Phat Willy's staff. Dessert was a beautiful cake baked and decorated by Glenna Hart Strait, featuring a glass grizzly bear and the class flower, a red rose.

Dwight Watson was the winner of a drawing for a  purple and gold quilt made by Glenna, decorated with pictures of the 50th Class Reunion attendees, grizzly bears and the class yell.

On display was a memorial created by Pat Phelps Bouldin, featuring the 16 members who are now deceased out of the original class of 50 students.

Class member Sharon Morgan Pruett joined the others Saturday morning at Pat's house for a delicious breakfast of paleo sweet breads, egg dishes and cinnamon rolls prepared by Carol (Cannon) Tuttle. Afterwards, 13 class members rode on a flatbed trailer in the Missouri Day parade.

Members of the class committee who planned the reunion were Pat Phelps Bouldin, Carol Cannon Tuttle, Linda Bradshaw Pachak, Sharon Morgan Pruett, Glenna Hart Strait, and Ruth Worden Schlegel.

The Class of '64 has always been a close-knit class, celebrating reunions on Missouri Day every five years since high school graduation. The class members are now looking forward to attending their 60th in 2024.

Attending the dinner Friday evening were: Pat (Phelps) Bouldin, Howard Doyle, Jim and Carol (Wood) Harriman, Jerry Harris, Mick and Lynn Harris, Kenny and Linda Hazlett, Frank and Debbie Huntley, Ben and Linda Long, Walt and Linda (Bradshaw) Pachak, Dean and Mayrene Pennington, Ruth (Worden) Schlegel, Bob and Glenna (Hart) Strait, Carol (Cannon) Tuttle, Lee Watkins, Dwight and Carolyn Watson. Special guests included Martha Woods, widow of the late Jack Woods; Brandon Reinhardt, grandson of Bob and Glenna Strait; and Kelly Black, photographer.
