Over 80 illicit marijuana plants were eradicated by the Bent County Sheriff's office and Bent County Sheriff's Posse Thursday, Sept. 19.
According to the Bent County Sheriff's office on Monday, Sept. 16 they received information about a possible illegal marijuana grow. They then proceeded to investigate the tip along with the Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
After the investigation they were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence near Ft. Lyon. Once on the scene they discovered over 80 illegal marijuana plants and Voraphet Rattana and Somthavy Makthepharak were taken into custody.
Both were charged with offenses related to marijuana and marijuana concentrate. According to the sheriff's office the case remains under investigation.
