The Arkansas Valley Community Concert Association will present Ball in the House, an R&B/Soul/Pop a cappella group at 7 p.m. Monda following a 1:30 p.m. performance for local area students.
Check with James Lind at 384-6872 or Judy Hensley at 384-2092 if you want to bring school classes so they will not overbook the auditorium.
Ball in the House has been entertaining audiences of all ages for more than 18 years. Taking a cappella to the next stage, they use beatbox and vocal bass under their harmonies to create a sound that’s hard to believe.
With their extensive tour schedule (more than 200 shows a year), Ball in the House has performed in many locales, from theaters, to performing arts centers, fairs and festivals, to opening for some of the biggest acts in the world, such as The Beach Boys, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, Lionel Richie, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Jonas Brothers, Smokey Robinson, Diamond Rio, Colin Raye and numerous others.
Some of the program highlights will be “My Girl” (Temptations), Disco Medley (“Stayin’Alive,” “That’s the Way,” “YMCA”), “Ain’t Nobody” (Chaka Khan), “Falling Slowly” (from the musical “Once”), “When You Wish Upon a Star” (Jiminy Cricket), “Blank Space” (Taylor Swift), “This Little Light” and “Swing Down Chariot,” “All of Me” (John Legend), “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” (Stevie Wonder), “Treasure” (Bruno Mars), “I Only Have Eyes for You” (Flamingos), “Unchained Melody” (Righteous Brothers).
