The highly ranked Fowler Grizzlies netminders played host for the seventh time this season, this time to the Holly Wildcats.
“We played really well the first game,” said Fowler coach Lindsay Whalen of her team’s performance this past Tuesday. Our backrow players are really playing well for us. Brooke Bell and Avery Bouldin have been solid all season.”

That woke up a good Rye squad as they won the second set with straight points at the end 25-21.
It was a battle the rest of the way as the fired-up home crowd got their money’s worth. It was as close as it can get in what always seems to be the all-important third set.
The Grizzlies fans took a deep breath as the home team pulled it out at 25-23. The final fourth set was just as nerve racking, but the Fowler squad didn’t flinch and keeping their focus winning 25-21.
“Rye is well coached and has an experienced team, so it was nice to get a big win,” stated coach Whalen. “I have been talking a lot about controlling our own destiny and this win was a step towards that. We are just going to take it one game at a
