The Simla Cubs tied Fountain Valley for first place at 5-1 in the Black Forest League, pulled into town to face the Grizzlies in a non-conference match this past Tuesday. Fowler uncharacteristically fell behind and couldn’t make up the deficit they found themselves in, and as a result lost big time at 25-13. The Grizzlies woke p in the second set , but a final burst at the right time for the Cubs put them in the drivers seat winning the second set 25-22.
In the third set the talented Cubs showed their best to take the match in rapid fashion at 25-13.
Fowler after the Tuesday match sits tied for first place3 in the Santa Fe League play at 10-2.
