Thanks to all the students who turned out to make “glitter slime” at our January after school program.
The next after school program is scheduled to be held Feb. 6. Participants will be making valentine boxes. We ask that each student who comes would bring a shoe box or something similar to decorate and take home. For more details, you can call the library or stop by.
Also this month into February, we are holding a poetry contest. Unlike previous monthly contests this will be open to all students K-12th grades. You may choose the subject and length. The winning entry will be displayed at the library and the winner will also receive an awesome prize.
A reminder to stop in for our coffee and conversation hour this is held each second Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. New to the town of Fowler we’d love to meet you. This past coffee time we were treated to a visit from Arkansas Valley Hospice volunteer coordinator JoEllen Netherton. She shared a bit about the vision of hospice and how community members can help. See our Facebook page for more information.
We were glad to have helped the Fowler Ministerial Alliance food bank this past Christmas season as well as the Fowler Progress Club in collecting new and gently used shoes for families in need. Both the food bank and shoe collection drive continue throughout the year. Thank you for giving all through the year.
For students preparing for the science fair please stop in and check out our large collection of nonfiction books as well as our ESBCO data bases that cover everything from auto repair to science and history.
2020 is off to a great start!
