The Santa Fe League released its All-League basketball teams earlier this month and six Fowler High School athletes were honored.

After securing the best record in the SFL, the Fowler boys had the most All-League athletes as its entire starting line-up was honored.

Four of the Grizzlies were placed on the first team in senior Luke Bitter, senior Johnathan Mobbley, junior Val Leone, and junior Gabriel Proctor.

The other Grizzly, junior Braxton Bates, was an honorable mention selection.

Leone was Fowler's leading scorer with 18 points per game. He also averaged 7.3 rebounds and three assists per game.

Mobbley was the second-leading scorer with 16.4 per game. He led in rebounding with 11.1 per game and he also averaged 1.2 assists per game.

Proctor also averaged in double figures in scoring with 10.8 points per game. He also averaged 4.9 rebounds and four assists.

Bitter averaged five points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

Bates had averages of 3.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists.

Fowler had a record of 22 wins and three losses, and it was undefeated in 13 games in league play. The Grizzlies were also the Class 2A District 6 and Region 5 champions.

One Fowler girls player was All-League in Ryanna Pruett. She averaged 7.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

The Lady Grizzlies were 6-14 overall and 6-7 in league play.
