Fowler football dominates McClave for 66-0 win
Fowler football is in top form.
Senior Damian Romero led the air attack and led the way on the ground Friday against the visiting McClave Cardinals. Seniors Jashua Daniels with 90 yards and Jason Bates with 58 yards backed up Romero’s ground game. Gabriel Proctor did his job on the other side of the ball for the Grizzlies with tackle after tackle.
That was pretty much the story with a 52-0 lead at the break, as the Fowler eight geared things back in the second half to notch another dominant win, 66-0.
“I thought we played really well Friday night. We finally have everybody starting to click," Grizzlies coach Mark Van Sickle said. "We are getting better up front on both sides of the ball and doing a nice job staying and finishing our blocks. The defense did another outstanding job. We had good pressure on the quarterback most of the night and the secondary played well together.”
Fowler football (4-0) is on a roll. That record will be tested this weekend against Crowley County.
