Gracie Moreland is La Junta co-op girls swim team's only champion in three-way meet

The La Junta co-op girls swim team competed in a three-way meet with Pueblo County and Pueblo West on Tuesday at Pueblo County High School's pool.
The meet was a double-dual with the Tigers taking down Pueblo West 93-87, but falling to Pueblo County 137-43.
Overall, Pueblo County dominated the meet, winning 10 of the 12 events.
The Tigers had one individual winner in Gracie Moreland, who won the 100-yard freestyle in 58.70 seconds. Her teammate, Grace Gardner, also broke the one-minute barrier as she placed second in 59.68.
Moreland was also second in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.66, less than a second behind Pueblo County's Kandi Liberato.
Isabel Gaines was second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.48 and she was third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:22.47.
The Tigers were also second in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the team of Gardner, Gaines, Moreland and Dayjiana Herman had a time of 1:54.21.
