OJC golf results from McCook tournament

The Otero Junior College golf teams competed in their second tournament of the fall as they were at the McCook (Neb.) Invitational at Heritage Hills Golf Course in McCook, Neb.

The OJC women's team finished in second place with 481 strokes. Leading the Lady Rattlers was Sarah DeCarlo who tied for second with a 107. Also golfing for OJC Shelisa Derr, who was seventh with a 114, Lexington Summers, who was eighth with a 124, Anna Wakefield, who was 10th with a 136, and Ashley Martin, who was 11th with a 155.

Northeastern Junior College won the women's tournament with 420. NJC's Darian Mehling was the medalist with a 95.

The Rattlers did not field enough golfers to record a team score. Their top golfer was Chazz Vigil who tied for 10th with an 84. David King tied for 25th with a 97 and Christian Marsh was 28th with a 103.

Eastern Wyoming College won the men's tournament with 329. McCook was second with 336, followed by Northeastern with 361 and Lamar with 369.

Eastern Wyoming's Thomas Kubata was the men's medalist with a 74.

The next tournament is the Northeastern Junior College Tournament in Sterling.
